Coronavirus and an incredibly wet spring have unfortunately delayed construction of The Clays at Lone Oaks Farm. We hoped to be open to the public sometime this summer, but now are shooting for early fall. With luck, we will be open in time to enjoy shooting during our beautiful fall weather in October.
Hunter Education Building & Pavilion
Despite the delays, we are making steady progress. The hunter education building and pavilion are nearly complete on the outside, and workers are now working to complete inside spaces. Once complete, the hunter education building will feature a pro-shop, bathrooms, catering kitchen with outside serving windows, and two meeting spaces — one small conference room, and one large room to accommodate groups up to 100.

The pavilion and open spaces around it will be the perfect place to relax and have a snack between rounds. With commanding views of the trap and skeet fields, the pavilion will also be a prime spot for parents to hang out during SCTP, 4-H, and other youth shooting events.
Sporting Clays Course
The sporting clays course is nearly complete, and over the summer we will be designing target presentations for both experts and beginners alike. The trap, skeet, and 5-stand fields are quickly coming together.
Whenever we are able to open, the Clays at Lone Oaks Farm is dedicated to being the premier clay target venue in the mid-south. With a strong focus on youth shooting and conservation, we want to be a leader in attracting more people to the shooting sports through education, excellent service, and unsurpassed facilities. Stay tuned!
